The CMP electronic mobile range has trekked across the South again to help support the Texas State JROTC match. Hosted by the North East Independent School District in San Antonio, TX, The All-Service JROTC State Championship saw 96 sporter and 37 precision competitors over two days and five relays. Many schools braved the icy Texas roads and weather reports of snow to attend the match.
In the sporter category Hunter Behrends set the Navy JROTC prone record with a 200 and 17X’s, breaking his own previous record. He won the match by a 22 point gap over Alyssa Grimes. 3rd and 4th went to brothers Hunger and Colten Kraus.
In the precision category, Jorge Juarez took home the state championship title and shot the high final of the day. Second place to Jazmin Hernandez and third to Nathan Reyes.
Upcoming Mobile Rangle events include:
Jan. 4-5 – Bass Pro 600, Leeds, AL
Jan. 24-25 – Wiregrass Invitational, Daleville, AL
