CAMP PERRY, OHIO – More than 150 M1Garand rifle collectors, shooters and enthusiasts enjoyed free hot dogs, giveaways and more at the CMP North Store Customer Appreciation Day and Open House on Saturday, 2 October.
Betty Hughes and her husband John, 56, paid a visit to the CMP North Store during the Customer Appreciation Day and Open House. They made the trip from Battle Creek, Michigan.
The Open House gave visitors an opportunity to view products and ask questions of CMP staff and armorers while enjoying a little CMP hospitality.
“It was a great day to visit,” said Mike Conrad, CMP North Store manager. “In addition to Boy Scout troops and clubs, we had a lot of new and repeat individual customers stop in to say “hi” and see what’s in stock.”
The store sells surplus M1 Garand rifles to qualified buyers along with ammunition, books, clothing, memorabilia and a limited supply of .22 caliber target rifles, air rifles and accessories.
The store is one of four sales outlets for CMP which also operates a store in Anniston, Alabama, an E- store and ongoing Internet auction which can be found at
www.thecmp.org.
Becky Martin and her husband Dale, 53, of Circleville, Ohio had a difficult time deciding which of two M1 rifles to purchase. After some discussion, they decided to purchase both!
